The awards were presented Sept. 7 at MPA’s 147th annual convention in Kansas City. Winners include:
- The Bolivar Herald Free-Press landed first place. "A clean, uncluttered website that is inviting and easy to navigate," the judge noted. "Good quality video, easy to use drop down menus, nice interactive features and a good community calendar."
- The Houston Herald won second place in the same category. "Website allows readers to quickly access what they are looking for. Video has prominent space. Big banner ad is a plus for advertisers," the judge wrote.
- And the St. Louis American received an honorable mention. "A lot of effort is put into this website!" the judge wrote. "Plenty of content. Many ways for the reader to connect to the newspaper."
Congratulations to all!
